Neil Springett

Managing Director

Neil has been the Managing Director of EMS since we commenced trading on 1st October 2014, joining from JLL along with 5 colleagues. Neil gained extensive experience in the real estate sector before becoming involved in the PFI sector in 2009. Neil qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2002 and has a degree in History. He also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

David Adams

Director

David was part of the original team that transferred from JLL in October 2014, where he had been working as a Finance Manager on various projects under management since joining from Mazars in 2012. David now heads up the EMS Finance Team and is part of the EMS Management Team. David qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) in 2011 and has a 1st class BSc Honours degree in Economics.

Laura Brown

Business Manager

Laura was part of the original team of 6 that transferred from JLL in October 2014 where she had been working as an Accounts Assistant across various PFI projects since 2013. Laura currently undertakes the role of Business Manager for EMS with responsibility for financial management, systems and processes, human resources and contract management.

James Taylor

Director

James was part of the original team of 6 that transferred from JLL in October 2014, having joined from Hochtief in early 2014. James works on the Leeds Mental Health and Gaia Energy from Waste projects. He is also in charge of the Manchester operations team and is also part of the EMS Management Team. James has extensive experience in the PFI and PPP sector. He is a member of the CIOB and has a Masters degree in Construction Management. He also holds an IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Louise Blanchflower

General Manager

Louise has been working at Equitix since January 2014 and transferred into the EMS business in January 2015. Louise is the General Manager on the Brunswick Social Housing project in Manchester. Louise holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Jonjo Challands

Senior Finance Manager

Jonjo joined EMS from Cambridge Building Society in October 2014 as an Accounts Assistant. He has subsequently progressed to Finance Manager and works on a variety of projects including PFI, procurement vehicles and renewables. Jonjo is ACCA qualified since October 2017.

Cristiane Sweeney

General Manager

Cristiane joined EMS from HCP in October 2014. She works as a General Manager on Ealing Schools, Roehampton Hospital and Essex University. Cristiane holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate and has been an associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing since 2010.

Andrew Roberts

Associate Director

Andrew joined EMS from Hochtief in November 2014. He works as a General Manager on Derbyshire BSF and has also overseen successful construction projects including Riverside Campus in Barking and Greenfaulds School in North Lanarkshire. Andrew has an MSc in Engineering and is a member of the CIOB. he is also a PRINCE2 practitioner and holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Simon Melia

Associate Director

Simon joined EMS from Hochtief in November 2014. He has performed the General Manager role on various projects and specialises in defects resolution and optimisation of FM Contractor performance. Simon has a degree in Business Studies and also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Maria Rodriguez Montero

Project Accountant

Maria transferred into EMS from Equitix in March 2015 and works as the Accounts Assistant on various projects under management. Maria has an MBA and a degree in Business Studies.

Mark Nelson

Associate Director

Mark joined EMS in February 2015 to be the General Manager on the New Papworth Hospital project, having previously worked for HCP on the St Barts and Royal London Hospital project. Mark is a qualified Electrical Engineer and also holds an IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Grant Carmichael

Director

Grant joined EMS in June 2015 from Hub West Scotland. He has worked as General Manager on various projects including Full Circle Energy from Waste and Dalmuir Waste Water. He also heads up the Glasgow operations team and is part of the EMS Management Team. Grant qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1994 and also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Saeed Mian

Finance Manager

Saeed joined the EMS finance team in September 2015 and now performs the Finance Manager role on various projects in the education, healthcare and student accommodation sectors. Saeed has passed his ACCA exams and will become fully qualified during 2018. He also has a degree in Biomedical Science.

Kirti Shah

Senior Finance Manager

Kirti joined EMS from Balfour Beatty in November 2015. Kirti has been working in the PPP and PFI sectors since 2001 and brings a wealth of project accounting experience, including a particular specialism in the OFTO sector. Kirti performs the Senior Finance Manager role across various projects and has developed expertise throughout the renewables sector. Kirti qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990 and has a degree in Accounting & Finance.

Vincent Ogrigri

Finance Manager

Vincent joined EMS in November 2015 having previously worked at Enterprise Rentacar. He works as Project Accountant on various projects under management. Vincent completed his CIMA exams in January 2018 and has a Masters degree in Accounting & Finance.

Emma Cannings

Senior General Manager

Emma joined EMS from ISS in April 2016 and is the General Manager on the Barking & Dagenham BSF, Greenwich BSF and Surrey Mental Health projects. Emma has been working in the PFI sector since 2002 and has worked at G4S and John Laing. She also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Alina Chereches

Finance Manager

Alina joined EMS from Balfour Beatty in May 2016 to become the first member of the finance team in Manchester. She works as Project Accountant on various projects under management in the education, healthcare, social housing and street lighting sectors. Alina is in the process of studying for her ACCA qualification.

Christine Allan

Senior General Manager

Christine joined EMS from Currie & Brown in August 2016. She is currently providing construction management services on Largs Academy and the East Ayrshire Learning Campus projects. Christine has previously performed the role of Authority's Technical Advisor on several Hub projects. Christine is a member of the CIOB and has a Masters degree in Construction Management. She also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Dana Radulescu

Senior Finance Manager

Dana joined EMS from Buro Happold in August 2016 to become the first member of the finance team in Glasgow working on various projects under management in Scotland. She achieved her ACCA qualification in December 2012 and has a Masters degree in Economics.

Steven Laverick

Senior General Manager

Steven joined EMS from LIMS in October 2016 and performs the role of General Manager on the Barnsley BSF project, which he has been working on since August 2015. He is a member of BIFM and has a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering. He also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Harry Lockhart

Senior General Manager

Harry joined EMS in January 2017, having previously worked at Bombardier Aerospace for around 25 years. Harry performs the role of Plant Manager for the Full Circle Energy from Waste plant in Belfast. He has extensive engineering and project management experience and a Masters degree in Maintenance Management.

Andrew Dick

General Manager

Andrew joined EMS from FES in February 2017 and is performing the General Manager role on the Wishaw, Kilsyth and East Kilbride health centres project, and for Greenfaulds School in North Lanarkshire. Andrew has a degree in Quantity Surveying and also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Asquith Gordon

Asquith joined EMS from LIMS in October 2016 and performs the role of Operations Manager on the Newham Hospital project, which he has been working on since March 2015. Asquith holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Iain Davidson

Associate Director

Iain joined EMS in June 2017 from Solar Century where he had been responsible for leading the Operations & Maintenance team. Iain brings over 10 years of experience in the renewable energy sector and is also a PRINCE2 practitioner.

Kinari Shah

Kinari joined EMS in July 2017 as an Accounts Assistant having recently graduated from De Montfort University with a first class degree in Accounting and Business Management. As part of her degree Kinari undertook a placement year with Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Business Management Trainee.

Riccardo Tiano

General Manager

Riccardo joined EMS from LIMS in January 2017. He is currently working as an Operations Manager on the Lancaster, Derbyshire and North Tyne projects. Riccardo has an advanced apprenticeship in Facilities Management and also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Grace Bailey-Hinks

Accounts Assistant

Grace joined the finance team in Manchester in May 2017 from ALUK to work on various projects under management. Grace completed a degree in Mathematics, Astrophysics and Business with the Open University in early 2017 and is now studying towards her CIMA qualification.

Samantha Porri

Senior General Manager

Samantha joined EMS from Balfour Beatty Investments in April 2017 and performs the role of General Manager on the Apollo Street Lighting Portfolio. She is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Building and has a First Class Honours Degree in Construction Management. Samantha also holds a 5 Day Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.

Nicole Brodie

Finance Manager

Nicole joined EMS from Capita in March 2017 and is working in a Finance Manager role on several education and healthcare projects in Scotland. Nicole passed her final CIMA exam in February 2016 and will become fully qualified in early 2018. She also has a degree in Finance & Accounting.

Mel McCaughey

Project Accountant

Mel joined the finance team in Manchester in September 2017 to work on the growing portfolio of projects based from that office. He had previously worked at Afford Bond as a Senior Accountant on a mix of audit and management accounts assignments. Mel is at the final stage exams for the ACCA qualification.

Richard Scott

Accounts Assistant

Richard joined EMS in October 2017 having previously been responsible for administering the the accounts for the Equitix Limited corporate business since May 2015. Prior to joining Equitix, Richard was working at IHS Global as an Associate Accountant. He has a degree in Business Studies with Accounting & Finance from the University of the West of England.

George Bucur

George joined EMS in October 2017 from Grant Thornton where he had been working in the Financial Modelling team within Government Infrastructure Advisory. He is now as Finance Manager in the London office on a mix of new and existing projects. George qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2016 and has a first class degree in Accounting and Finance.

Debbie joined the EMS team in Glasgow in April 2017 having previously been part of the Hub South West team in Scotland, as Office Manager, since May 2015. Debbie has a BA Honours degree in Business Studies and an HND in Human Resource Management.

Claire joined from Semperian Infrastructure Management in August 2017 and is performing as the Operations Manager on Inverclyde Schools and Dalbeattie Learning Campus. Claire has a degree in Psychology and also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

Brett Baber

General Manager

Brett joined EMS in January 2018 to work on the growing portfolio of solar assets under management. Brett joined from Rockfire Energy and has also previously worked at Lightsource Renewables, where he was responsible for 215MW of solar assets.

Michael Murray

Senior General Manager

Michael joined EMS in February 2018 working on Priority Schools Building Programme, Midlands batch. Michael became a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2016 and has a first class honours degree in Building Surveying. Since 2011, Michael has obtained widespread experience in PFI and PPP operating as a General Manager, Independent Certifier, Employer’s Agent, Project Manager and Technical Advisor across multiple sectors including health, education, blue light, housing, accommodation, office, infrastructure/roads and leisure.

Angelina Tarousa

Angelina joined EMS in March 2018 as an Accounts Assistant in the London office. She was previously working at an Accounting Practice where she undertook a 6 month internship in the framework of the European University Programme, Erasmus. Angelina has a first class degree in Accounting and Finance and is currently studying towards her ACCA exams.

Neil has been working in the PFI/PPP sector since 2009, having previously worked in private practice and at property companies. Neil has a Degree in Business Property Management and is a member of the RICS and BIFM. Neil currently holds both IOSH Managing Safely and Safety for Senior Executives certificates.

Karen joined EMS from CSPS in April 2018 and is the Senior Property Manager for the Greater Nottingham, North Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicester LIFTCos. Karen has been working in the LIFT sector since 2008, initially with John Laing and also worked for 10 years with the NHS managing estate and support service teams. She also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Hamed joined EMS from CSPS in April 2018 as a Project Accountant for the South Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and Doncaster LIFT projects. He has 3 years’ experience in the PFI industry managing health centres, schools and care accommodations. Hamed is AAT qualified and ACCA part-qualified.

Gaby joined EMS in April 18 following TUPE transfer from Community Solutions. She has been employed since October 2014 as a Property Manager for Leicester and Derbyshire LIFT Buildings. Gaby has 8 years of PFI experience within the schools environment and has a BA in Management and Tourism. She also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Dawn joined EMS from CSPS in April 2018 and is the Regional Administration Manager based at the Nottingham office, also providing support to the Equitix Community Ventures team based at the South Yorkshire office. She has been working in the LIFT/PPP sector since 2010, initially with John Laing, and previously worked in the NHS for 14 years providing support to both clinical and estate senior management teams. Dawn also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely certificate.

Faye joined in EMS in April 2018 following the successful bid by EMS to jointly provide MSA services for LIFT Buildings in the East Midlands. She has been the Property Manager for the Greater Nottingham and North Nottinghamshire LIFT projects since March 2014. Faye is BIFM qualified and holds a current IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

Chris joined EMS in July 2018 as a General Manager responsible for the Coral Wind Portfolio and for the Offshore Operations Management of Greater Gabbard OFTO. He has worked in the offshore energy sector, internationally for over a decade. Originally in oil and gas and more recently focussing on renewable energy, he has worked with companies such as Subsea 7, Scottish Power Renewables and DeepOcean. Chris is a member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and the Chartered Quality Institute. He also holds a NEBOSH General Certificate and an IOSH Certificate in Safety for Executives and Directors.

Mike joined EMS in 2018 as a Senior Finance Manager. He was involved in the pre-Financial Close phases of the early Defence Estate PFIs for the Defence Procurement Agency; and then spent seven years within Carillion Private Finance specialising in Health, Education and Defence PFI projects.. Mike qualified as a Certified Accountant in 1996 and has an MBA from the Open University. He also holds a current IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.
